They say that you are what you eat. Thus, I am sticking with chocolates, pastries, ice creams and cakes! Hahaha! And tonight, I am craving for Krispy Kreme donuts. Tomorrow being Mother’s Day, I am sure that the Husband will give in to my (reasonable) request, like pink cordless blinds for our room, a new pair of shoes, a gallon of my favorite ice cream that I won’t share plus a box of the yummy donuts. Unfortunately, we are miles and miles away from each other so I just have to keep my list and present it to him once I get to see him again in two weeks’ time. For the mean time, I just have to be contented with this old photo:
It is a box of Krispy Kreme donuts that we bought some months back. The Toblerone variety is one of my many favorites and I will surely have a box for our late Mother’s Day celebration before the month ends.

To celebrate Dairy Queen Canada’s 30th anniversary, it set a new world record by making the world’s largest ice cream cake in Yonge and Dundas Square in Toronto. One hundred (100) people planned the event for over a year.
To create this giant ice cream, Dairy Queen has to employ:
- Dozens of chefs who worked non-stop
- 9,000 kg of ice cream
- 91 kg of sponge cake,
- 136 kg of icing and Oreo crumbles
After being acknowledged by the Guinness Book of Records, the record-breaking cake was cut into pieces and served to the crowd who were gathered in Yonge and Dundas Square. 100% of suggested donations were given to the Children Miracle Network to fund medical care, research and education programs of the Canadian kids.
This giant Canadian cake was able to beat the 2006 world record, a nearly 8,000 kg ice-cream cake which was made by China.

I have been searching for new dessert recipes for the holidays and my first stop was Pioneer Woman’s blog where I found this:
This is Chocolate Almond Frozen Mousse. One look at it and I said to myself that I am going to try it soon. The recipe is so simple which is really good for someone like me. However, I do not think that I will be including this in my list of holiday desserts. Let’s see.
