I admire people who are tea-drinker. For me, they are more mature, more adult-like compared to yours truly. I never liked tea, to be honest. No matter what they flavor is, or even if you add milk to eat, tea is not for me. I will go for juice or coffee (which is now a no-no for me. *sigh*) but tea is a choice if I have no other choice. We all know that taste is acquired. Maybe it’s just that I have not acquired the taste for tea, that’s why I don’t like it. But reading about the benefits of drinking tea makes me think otherwise. Here are some of what I learned so far:
- Tea fights aging.
- Tea contains anti-oxidants which are good for fighting off allergens.
- Tea has components which are good for controlling inflammation from injury or diseases such as arthritis.
- Tea flavonoids help strengthen bones.
- Tea helps lower the level of “bad” cholesterol.
- Tea prevents blood from clumping and forming clots, thus lowering the risk of heart disease.
- Tea helps in losing weight.
Item number 7 surely got me!
